Interstate Communications will be offering FREE Internet/Computer classes to our customers.  Classes will be held from 6:00pm to 7:00pm on the 3rd Tuesday of each month in our office: 105 N. West St. Truro, Iowa.

Apr 16th: iTunes
This class covers how to enjoy the full potential of Apple's popular, free music program, iTunes. Students will learn how to install the program, import CDs to the library, and download music and videos.

May 21st: Online Fraud
This class covers current Internet scams, ways to identify a scam, and the steps to take if victimized.

Jun 18th: Getting Started on eBay
This introductory class covers all the basics: registration, searching, feedback, using PayPal, and more. Conflict resolution is discussed and students are encouraged to bring their personal experiences to class.

Jul 16th: Selling on eBay
This class discusses listing items using proven listing strategies, getting greater visibility for your listings, e-commerce and security topics, and conflict resolution. Students are encouraged to bring their own personal experiences to discuss.

Aug 20th: Internet Security
This course deals with adware, spyware, phishing, malicious e-mail and other threats. Anti-virus software and firewall protection are also discussed. This is a good chance to educate students on the threats on the Internet and to introduce them to SecureIT products.

Sep 17th: Working with Digital Photos
This class introduces students to free software that can easily import, sort, crop, adjust, and manipulate digital photos. The class also covers printing photos, having them printed and mailed, and emailing photos to others. This is not a class on digital photography, but a tutorial on working with the resulting digital photos.

Oct 15th: Introduction to Streaming Video
This session introduces students to streaming video and serves as a primer on services available on the Internet at large, including free and pay services.

Nov 19th: Online Shopping
This class discusses the benefits of shopping online, the privacy/security concerns students may have, and the various online shopping resources that are available.

Dec 17th: Smart Phones and Tablets

December 18: Working with Digital Photos

This class introduces participants to a free piece of software that enables them to easily import, sort, crop, adjust, and manipulate digital photos. How to print photos, have them printed and mailed to you, and how to e-mail them to others is also included. This is not a class on digital photography, but a tutorial on working with the resulting digital photos.
